thank so much for your time nice well made video newfoundland canada
When you got the resort fee waived in the mirage were you on the starter status or had you gone up a grade by then?
This is an amazing video! I think I will love to go on the entirety of Route 66. The history will be amazing to learn, and the stops will definitely be cool to see.
Can this route be driving completely in 2019?
I think Route 66 is still kicking and breathing today.
Hi John, great video, hope to do it next year, how many days would you reckon it will take , starting in Chicago, thanks.
Hope the donkeys are fed well and not just by tourists and watered! Anyhoo, I live in one of the Rte66 cities, Springfield, IL and we are Route 66 to death. This video shows its importance, so we shouldn't take it for granted. Us oldies but goodies are gettin' up there. You touched on a lot in a short time and did it well....thanks for the ride along.
Great video! Thanks for sharing we hope to hit the road in a couple years and travel old route 66 is on our bucket list.
Why do obese Americans have to wear Hawaiian shirts?
I've been here several times, actually walked around.
MEMORIES ....
At this point you might want to consider just putting the entire video on utube. You might make more money than selling the dvds. Other utubers have the entire trip on utube. Just a thought if no one is buying the dvd. I plan on doing parts of the route 66. Like I said, I have seen pretty much the entire route from several different tubers.
very nice john
It's TER- MATER WITHOUT THE TER. AWESOME VIDEO THANKS
you forgot to mention about Merrimack Caverns that all the cave scenes from Lassie we're shot there as well as Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn where they tried to escape from the Indian among countless other movies. gotta be nice inside the caverns though the Rangers have the Authority to beat you amongst the head and shoulders with their flashlights if you touch any of stalagmites or stalactites and they tell you that.
I love route 66. I live in near Phoenix and always go up there in my RV With XR650R mounted on the back. if you take your dog traveling with you make sure to stop and Seligman and Williams in Arizona they are the most dog friendly towns I've ever been to you can walk right into the restaurant with your dog. I've been there so many times people know my dog's name but they don't know mine yet they just say oh yeah that's Thor the pitbulls owner. lol I plan on moving to Ash Fork soon. where you can buy 40 acre's for less then $20k. Just a few miles from Route 66.
Good video - It brought back a lot of memories. Hey - you didn't mention Kingman!
great view john enjoyed the video so much, well done, dave in wales uk...
Great account of your experience. We have just recently driven the mother road, so this was great to watch and relive our experience of a lifetime.
Thanks. I need to make this trip myself in the future.
In June I was able to drive from just west of Oatman to Williams (in a red Mustang convertible no less). Now I'm seriously thinking of flying to Chicago, renting another Mustang convertible, and doing all of old 66. I didn't realize so much of it was still out there. I noticed you totally ignored Kingman in this video, I assume it's shown in the longer version? I stayed at the El Travitore in Kingman and it's exactly the kind of place I like to stay on a trip like that.
Greater 66 route
I have been wanting to make this trip for so long, hopefully someday I can! Thank You so much for this video, I really enjoyed it! :)
You have got to travel some part of route 66.for me ,it has been all over Missouri.because i was born and raised in and around St Louis.
Great video...well made....great sound, color.....everything!!! This is going into favs right now.....Keep it up!!!
I love the 50s and 60s and 70s and I only like old music and no rap and im 12
great experience in my life to explore route 66
My family did a lot of traveling when I was a kid. I was on call so much when I worked never could go much. Going to get the video and maybe see if Bugs will give me a ride. Maybe he just wanted more carrots?
what kind of RV is this?
Roadtrek Popular 190 great rig!
LOVE this! Thanks for putting this up We drove part of it this year and LOVED IT! I had great fried chicken at Chick-a-Dee's in Wilmington Illinois-
At 9:10, the syrup lady. How the hell could someone whose entire life is producing syrup NOT spell SYRUP correctly? I mean, "Sirup"? Really?
MADE ME SAD,WAS THERE AS A KID IN THE 50'S. MOM AND DAD ARE NO LONGER HERE. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN.
What is the location of the road at 3:36 ???
It took me some 46 years to see most of 66 since 1968. Some of the places that are abandoned buildings & ghost towns were still kickin' the first time I went through, since I40 was still under construction. It's a sad thing to see in my old age...
Thanks for sharing. Will have to do it one day.
What RV is that ?
I've just got back from America, me and three friends from the uk did Route 66 it was the most amazing holiday we ever had. Did as much of the original road as possible. The people you meet in America are great. We planned it really well and saw so many great things. I don't know where to start to tell anyone how great it was. Looking at this film reminds me of how it seems like a different holiday every day it's such an amazing place. The motels are really easy to find and are very good. It would be a great holiday for families too and is a really safe place to drive. I'd recommend it to anyone. The place is great the people are amazing and I've never felt safer. And I want to go back!
Im gonna go soon as I figure out what kind of rv I want. class b for mobility or big rig with all the infra structure head aches.....
Great video, Makes me so excited for our trip next summer. What time of year did you go? - Route 66 Abandoned Art.
Efrain, the best advice I can give you is to watch the entire 90-minute DVD and get the book EZ Route 66. The info in both with help you a great deal.
I'm driving the entire route from LA to Chicago this summer. Any tips or advice?
Efrain Garcia Yes, tons of advice! I just completed it, i drove it TWICE from Chicago to LA to Chicago, stopping along different stops each way. Firstly, see the Route 66 Playlist on my channel as I believe this will give you an idea of what to expect, costs as well as places to visit and things to do. Secondly, send me a message if you have any specific question and need advice. Happy travels!
But it was a very good video
Lol 66 reactions
